Cats and Dogs

Our good friend Labonee, aka Labs, aka the Lobster ran the Napa Valley Marathon this past weekend. Her first marathon, it was obviously a HUGE accomplishment! Raj, Shalini, and I went up there to show our support. We ran the 5K. I came in at a lean 23:50. Almost as fast as this 5-minute miler. It was raining the entire time too. I thought we had it real bad, until I thought of what Labs must have been going through.

The Lobster was running in the pouring rain for 4 and a half hours! We managed to catch her right before she crossed the finish line and as you can see, the rain couldn't break her spirits one bit!

You know, now that I think about it, running a marathon might actually be something I may enjoy.

No one "enjoys" a marathon, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. A marathon is more of a test. A challenge. A goal. An achievement. A way to push yourself beyond your limits. A way to test your physical and mental endurance. A way to see if you've got what it takes. A way to prove to yourself that you've got what it takes. A way to believe that you can do anything. A way to figure out that your greatest obstacle is yourself. A way to understand that there are no limits other than those we impose on ourselves.

I love them too! That's what life is about! To continue to challenge oneself, improve oneself, better oneself. Thanks for putting the video up! And everyone congratulate Vishal on getting 2nd place in his age category in the 5K!!

Lobstah, congrats!!!!!! You are an inspiration to all! You flew by them like a bullet in that video!! And dada, 23:50, tiiiiiight!!! congrats to you too!! Karno would be proud, you two!!
